Problem Note 13845: Some code in the SYNTAX section of the PROC POWER documentation contains errors
Some of the example code in the SYNTAX section of the SAS 9.1
documentation for PROC POWER is incorrect and will generate errors
and warnings if executed.
The errors in the documentation can be things as simple as an omitted
semicolon to an option that changed between the experimental version of
PROC POWER in SAS 9 and the production version in SAS 9.1. The errors
are primarily associated with tests of correlations and tests of
binomial proportions in the SYNTAX section under various parts of the
Option Groups for Common Analysis.
A corrected version of the SAS 9.1 PROC POWER documentation can be obtained by looking at the SAS 9.2 online documentation for PROC POWER.
Note that not all options in the SAS 9.2 documentation for PROC POWER are supported in SAS 9.1. Specifically, the Logistic and TwoSampleWilcoxon statements are not supported in SAS 9.1. Equivalence, noninferiority, and confidence interval precision for a proportion in the ONESAMPLEFREQ statement are not supported. The input parameterizations, including raw proportions and correlation for the PAIREDFREQ statement is not supported in SAS 9.1.
